Staking in ground
① Dig a hole deep enough (about 6 inches) into the ground where you choose. If the ground is too hard, soak area with water to soften.
② Attach the ground stake to a pointed connector and insert it in the hole and earth it and ram. Never force it with a hammer. Two stakes can be used if necessary. Make certain that the stakes are placed vertically.
③ Insert the light head into the stake.
④ Charge in direct sunlight for at least 3 full sunny days .The light will turn on automatically at night.
2) Mounted to the wall/deck/fence
①First mount the wall bracket to the deck, wall or fence by using two provided metal screws.
②Insert the light head into the bracket.
③Charge in direct sunlight for at least 3 full sunny days .The light will turn on automatically at night.
3)Floating on water
① Find a long enough string and thread it through the hole of the light head connector to tie at one end. Find a stone or a piece of brick and tie it with the string at another end.
② row the stone in lake and let the light head float on the water. It should be
noted that the light ball will not be covered by any shadowing and it can absorb maximum sunlight.
4) Lying on ground
① Just place the disc on the ground.
② And then put the light on the disc.
4. TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION
The performance of solar powered light depends upon the amount of sunlight available during daylight hours. If your solar light can not operate properly you can check your solar light and find the cause as listed below.
1) Light dim
Battery is not fully charged or needs replacement. ① Make sure your solar light is located in an area where the solar panel gets the maximum amount of full, direct sunlight every day. Allow sunlight to recharge the battery for 5 full sunny days.
② If the weather has been cloudy or overcast during the day, the battery will not be charged for operation at night. The solar light must have direct sunlight every day to charge the battery. If the solar light does not receive enough sunlight one day, it will recharge the next sunny day and resume normal operation.
③ Check for obstructions to solar collector panel: over hanging branches, shade from bushes, trees, fences, buildings and the like. Relocate the light to a sunnier location.
2)Light out
① Check for an external light source: street light , porch light , flood light may be preventing light from automatically turning on at night.
② Rechargeable batteries need recharging.
③ Old batteries may wear out and not accept charge. Replace with new batteries of same kind and size
