The connectors are easily detachable for changing load handling attachments or re-equipping hoist unitsquickly. This improves equipment efficiency and assists in reducing wear of the ropes so that their life is prolonged. The tensile strength of Demag rope-to-rope connectors meets all requirements; in all cases the connectors can besubjected to higher loads than the ropes they are on. The connectors are made of long-wearing material of acomposition adapted to their specific study. This ensures durability, and for installations, efficiency in operation. * Rope sockets and shackles This type of rope connection is used where quick changes of handling attachments or from grab to hook duty are required.As an example, the overhauling ropes of a grab can be easily connected with, or detached from, the closing ropes leadingoff the hoist drum. The functional shape of rope sockets and shackles ensures smooth running over wide-groove rope sheaves. The rope ends are secured in the socket by means of a filler metal approved by the German Lloyd. * Rope sockets and shackles are wear-resistant manganese steel casings. * The lock is easily opened by using a hexagon spanner. * The lock is proctected against mechanical damage. * Available for rope diameters from 10 to 48mm. |
