Metal Dome, Metal Dome Array

Metal dome (tactile metal domes, or metal snap domes)are four-legged switch contacts that were designed specifically for mounting on single or double sided printed circuit boards, flex circuits and membranes, where traces can be fed under the domes on the same side of the board. They come in eight different sizes, and can be used for contact or tactile element only.
Because of the four leg metal dome structural characteristics, they have very good feeling, high travel and long life (≥ 1 ~ 5 million times), the four leg metal dome mainly used for membrane switch, control panel, it is also known as membrane switch dome, extensive used for single-sided, multi-layer rigid boards (PCB), flexible circuit board (FPC), controllers and so on.
The F-Series metal domes are placed on a PC board by means of pressure sensitive adhesive tape. In their relaxed state they rest on the outer rim of the primary pathway. When they are pushed, the centers of the domes collapse and make contact with the secondary pathway, thereby closing the circuit.
The size of F series metal dome is from 5mm to 20mm in a range of (trip) force, typical 125- 500 g. The trip force, rebound/return force, click, travel, and height, etc., can be adjustable according to clients' request. No matter what size or force you require, we'll do our best to produce it.
