This is a new era of online piano lessons. Nowadays, people tend to learn how to play piano without ever leaving home!
Wong Tsz Fong Catherine Music Studio offers online learning music and piano classes. Our online interactive lessons are perfectly for anyone or students who are unable to attend in-person lessons. Apart from that, it also breaks though the district boundary limitation. Students who come from all over the world, take place over Zoom, making them easy to access by phone, tablet, or laptop.
Catherine has worked with hundreds of students of all ages. She understands everyone learns differently. We all have a different way of absorbing and learning practical skills. Learning with support and motivation of a live teacher is important for further growing. Some students had a chance to exhibit their talent in a piano concert with Catherine Wong together for charity purpose.

Catherine Wong is the world's first Chinese female musician awarded as the "Ambassador of British-Chinese Co-music", and "Cultural Exchange Ambassador" appointed by Australia, Ukraine and others.
Over the years, Catherine has not only collaborated with the world's most prestigious orchestras, but also actively participated in charity work.

Since she was little, Catherine learned to play the piano from Prof. Yau Tin Fu. As a fond lover of music, she was sent by her parents to Yau Tin Fu Piano & Arts Institute. Since then, she began her career as a professional pianist.
Catherine Wong has received the following accolades:
-the Champions of the solo and concerto of the "World Youth Festival Piano Competition"
-the Bulgarian work performance award of the "World Youth Festival Piano Competition"
-the first runner up of the "Finland International Piano Open"
2023:
- Invited by San Francisco to have Solo Piano Recital at San Metro Performing Arts Center in America. And she also invited and performed with the world-renowned classical jazz musician Ricardo Scales who has performed for five U.S. Presidents to be the special guest.
2022:
- Invited by Ronald McDonald House to perform at 1881 Heritage to fund raising for the ill children.
- To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. Catherine Wong and her Students Piano Concert was held at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre. She intended to encourage more people to play Chinese classical music. Promoting Chinese culture and increasing the public's awareness and interest in Chinese classical music.
- Opening performance at Arts and Cultural Variety Show for Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR organized by Yuen Long District Arts Committee.
2021:
- Outstanding Person of the Year (Outstanding Women) in the 7th Outstanding Persons Award awarded by Chinese Today Press in 2021.
- Catherine brings Chinese folk music to the global stage through piano, facilitates exchange of Chinese and Western music, nurtures the future musicians, and supports students in realizing their dreams.
2019:
- Attended the New York International Piano Competition as a judger. The competition was held in Carnegie Hall and was joined by musicians from 17 countries.
- Performed in a charity concert at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre with singers Alfred Hui, Joey Wong (JW), Michael Wong, erhu player Wan Pin Chu and Mr. Quarter to raise funds for Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation and Operation Smile, to provide free medical treatments to children with cleft lips and autism.
- Appointed as "Chinese-Australia Music Ambassador" by Mrs. J. Momson, the wife of the Australian Prime Minister, Mr. John Ajaka.The president of the New South Wales Legislative Council, and Dame June Dally-Watkins OAM at the Parliament House.
2018:
- Presented "Chinese-Thai Music Ambassador" and "The International Belt and Road Music Ambassador" by Major General Supridee Pravitra of Thailand.
- Performed in a charity concert in Heyuan to raise funds with Bright Vision Organization for free cataract extraction for deprived patients in the hilly regions.
- Chosen as the Charity Ambassador of the Year by the Trends Group In Beijing.
- Appointed as a global ambassador by Operation Smile and took part in charity concerts and events to raise funds for free medical treatments for children with cleft lips and autism.
2017:
- Selected as one of the Hong Kong Professional Elite Ladies (Arts and Cultural Sector).
- Performed with the Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra in the Yellow River and the Butterfly Lovers piano concertos held in Hong Kong and Beijing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of handover of Hong Kong to China and the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine, which has proven a huge success; received the Excellent Art Achievement Award from Ukraine.
2016:
- Collaborated and performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and Tianjin Symphony Orchestra: invited to Xiamen Jiageng Theatre and Dongguan Yulan Grand Theatre to a solo charity performance, enabling the public to understand more about music and promoting Chinese and classical music.
2015:
- Awarded as "Star of Mulan" and received "Art Achievement Award" to recognize achievements of Chinese women from around the world, presented by Sir David Brewer, Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London to Elizabeth II at Mulan Awards Ceremony, Catherine was subse- quently invited to visit the UK for performances. After her performance, she met Ms Mei Sim Lai, Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, and Sir David Wootton, former Lord Mayor of London. Catherine was awarded as the "Ambassador of British-Chinese Co-music", making her the first Chinese female musician to receive the honor.
- Performed at a concerto and solo recital in Dongguan and Poly Theatre in Huizhou respectively, in collaboration with Guangdong Pearl River Symphony Orchestra.
