Direct Arc furnace is use the rectified DC as energy make the arc for the production of heat energy, it is the newly developed energy-efficient steel-making equipment. Compared with the AC electric arc furnace might saving energy about 5 ~ 10%, economize electrode about 2 / 3. Our company has developed 4 sets of 10t, 30t, 40t single electrode DC arc furnace successively and already put into operation, showing that the bottom anode single-electrode DC arc furnace has as series of advantages that the three-phase AC electric arc furnace and two-electrode DC arc furnace can not achieve.
