HY-SLK absorbable hemostat is made from purified natural fiber cellulose, which is oxidized and etherized. It is soluble in water, saline and blood, insoluble in alcohol.
The product has good biocompatibility and high safety, it can be used in a wide range of situations which include but not limited to surgical operation, wounds, burns. It features instant hemostasis, promote wound healing, prevent post-operative adhesion.
Proven Bactericidal Properties: Experiments indicated that HY-SLK absorbable hemostat can selectively inhibit bacterial growth, reduce the incidence of would infection.
Optimal adherence: Once HY-SLK contacts with blood, its fabric-like matrix conforms to all wound surfaces and it swells up quickly and produces a colloid after absorbing water, covering the wound and blocking the end of blood capillary, so as to stop bleeding physically.
