8-wire resistive touch screen's working principle is similar with 4-wire touch screen. Based on 4-wire resistive touch screen, it adds a reference wire for each wire. Though its working principle is similar to the four-resistive one, it has the advantage of being able to effectively avoid drift caused by long-time use or environmental factors. The four added wires are used for reading actual voltages, then the controller can automatically correct the drift.
