Citycell Battery Company, started joint venture, producing batteries from the beginning, has accumulated ten years' experience in the field and registered to COMPANY LIMITED on Aug 8, 1995. The company also has a trading division dealing with batteries and other electronics products. Currently, over 100 battery models are on offer, including button cells, various dry cells, rechargeable batteries and battery packs. Eliminators and chargers for cellular phone battery packs & etc., are also offered.

The company specializes in various dry cell models. Three grades of carbon zinc cells are offered - general purpose, heavy duty and extra heavy duty. Those for general purpose are wrapped in a metal or vinyl jacket. Ten models are included in this series, with D, C, AA, AAA, N sizes, and all having a voltage of 1.5V. They support an operation time from 30 to 700 minutes. 6V and 9V models are also available, supporting ten and 24hours operation respectively. Heavy-duty batteries, totaling six models, have vinyl or printed PVC Jackets, except the 9V model (metal).

Extra-heavy-duty-batteries, all in a metal jacket, are available in D, C, AA & AAA models. Alkaline batteries, in metallized shrinkable film jackets or printed PVC jackets are available in five size - D, C, AA, AAA and 9V.

Citycell has developed a "Mercury & Cadmium Free" series. Six models are included in this series, coming in D, C, AA, AAA, 9V and 4R25 (6V). Button cells come in silver, mercury and alkaline series, amounting to about 38 models totally. Except the mercury models having a voltage of 1.35V, all button cells generate 1.5V. Capacities range from 8mAh to 160mAh for silver models, 40mAh to 360mAh for mercury ones, and 24mAh to 200mAh for alkaline models. Citycell also trades in Lithium batteries from Japan and produces in China as joint venture.

Rechargeable batteries mostly employ the Ni-Cd system, available in button and cylindrical types. Four Ni-Cd button cell models, all having a nominal voltage of 1.2v, feature nominal capacities of 60mAh to 280mAh. Each is capable of serving 500 charge / discharge cycles, 21 Ni-Cd cylindrical models include sizes AAA, AA, 2/3AA, 1/3AA, A, 1/2A, C, SC, 2/3SC, D and 9V. Except the 9V model, all feature a nominal voltage of 1.2V and capacities (5 hr-rate) from 110mAh to 4,500mAh. The Ni-MH cylindrical models include sizes AAA, AA, A, 2/3AA & D and capacities from 270mAh to 8,000mAh (1.2V). A Lithium-Ion battery 3.6V (500mAh to 1,000mAh) is also offered. All require a standard charging time of 14 to 16 hours.

The company also intends to expand and improve these lines, especially through OEM projects. Now, 15-20 percent of the company's output are OEM items, while the rest are registered brand "CITIPOWER", "CITYGIZER" and "CITYCELL".

Citycell exports mainly to the South-East Asia, Middle East, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Germany, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Australia, USA and South America& etc.

The company sources 80 percent of the materials in China, and the remainder from oversea. The factory in China employs 450-500 workers (excluding 6-8 peoples in Hong Kong) and produces 20-25 million pcs a month. The company sets no strict minimum order, and delivery usually takes 30 days.
