COMPANY HISTORY
Our president, Ms. Sylvia Lam, established Famous Garment Ltd. in 1998 after having returned from a four-year stay in Canada . Prior to this Sylvia had been involved in the garment business since 1967 and has run her own factories since 1973.
Famous Garment Ltd. is the culmination of Sylvia's business image. This company has been formed in order to consolidate several smaller factories, under one roof in China . Famous Garment Ltd. has now grown to having over 1,500 staff in the one factory, which makes the management of the factory easier.
OUR ADVANTAGE
Having been in the clothing business and owning factories since 1973, we have good relationships with fabric manufacturers and accessories suppliers. Once the fabric and accessories have been delivered to our factory, we are fully vertical, as, through the Fabric QC, Cutting, Sewing, Washing, Final QC and Packing, we remain fully in control of the goods.
The most important part of denim production is the final washing procedure, as this could ruin the look of well-produced goods. Many Garment factories send their production out to be washed in sub-contracted factories, thus the desired finish is not easily guaranteed. At Famous Garment, Sylvia realized that operating her own washing factory would make washing problems easier to manage and control, and has thus opened her own washing plant which is located about 45 minutes away from the main factory.
Due to our total control in the production and washing processes, we are able to offer our customers competitive pricing, reasonable lead times, dependable delivery dates and a high quality production.
OUR PRODUCTS
We produce Ladies, Men's and Children's clothing in a wide variety of styles such as Shirts, Jackets, Pants, Skirts, Dresses and Vests.
We are set up to handle a wide variety of fabrications and weights of fabric, such as Poplins, Twills. Denims, Corduroys, and various Spandex materials.
OUR CUSTOMERS
We supply a large range of well-known designer name customers, import companies and direct retail outlet customers such as:- JC Penny, Union Bay and Dorothy Perkins.
