Started small in 1992 with one single-colour printing press, Wide Ocean has become a full blown printing company armed with proven track records and is ever more energetic and enthusiastic in experimenting with new ideas.
All Wide Ocean's 30 staff members are professionally trained to provide customer-oriented pre-and post-press services. Through the mastery of different models of printing press, we are able to produce diversified finished products. There range from business cards, corporate image materials to advertising and promotional collaterals, in 2- or 3-dimensional forms made of papers as well as various interesting materials such as frosted, transparent PVC, PET and laser foil. Our broad scope of services is well supported by a network of quality suppliers. We are also active in worldwide exhibitions and competitions.

Technology
- Wide Colour System
Wide Colour System is a term coined by Wide Ocean to cover the newly invested state-of-the-art technologies : Hi-Fidelity Colour, Computer-to-Plate (CTP) and 6-Colour Printing. By combining advantages of the three technologies the company can offer even better solutions to customers.
- Hi-Fidelity Colour
This is a printing process which includes a new ink set of more than 4 process colours to produce vibrant images, a colour selector, separations and proofing. It uses more colours to recreate the real world through printing, and solves printing challenges like flesh tones, cosmetic colour ranges, crystal clarity, and demanding colours like orange. Hi-Fidelity Colour enhances the image impact by 50-100%. The technology allows colour calibration in whatever areas of a picture, and thus is more flexible than normal pantone printing, which is confined to solid plain grounds. By using Interactive Colour Independent Separation Software (ICISS) for HI-Fidelity Colour, customers may sometimes find out less colours are required instead and therefore save more costs.
- CTP
Wide Ocean provides customers with digital screen proof printouts, which resemble film-generated colourproofs with a deviation of 10% only, and imitate offset line screen printing. Wide Ocean can also provide various colour calibrated versions in sizes up to 42 inches for customers to compare and choose. On approval of digital printouts, output files are then directly transferred onto plates, using Computer-to-Plate (CTP) technology. All man-made and technological setbacks generated from film-to-plate are thus eliminated, with original images and colours captured more accurately. Since fine line screens such as stochastic screens can also be accommodated, the finest details are captured. On the whole, a better outcome is ensured with time and money saved due to the elimination of the film-to-plate process.
- 6-Colour Printing
The advantages of Hi-Fidelity Colour and CTP will be further maximized by 6-Colour Printing. Setbacks caused by repeat printing of 4-Colour Printing can be minimized, such as longer production time, instblility of materials, deviation of colour and composition, and more wastage. In addition, 6-Colour Printing maximixes advantages of special colour systems such as Pantone Hexachrome. In this way, customers can get over 90% of solid Pantone Colours as compared to only about 50% from CMYK. The 6-Colour press is operated by Wide Ocean's veteran operators, who have a strong sense of colour perception due to their experience in quality printing of a wide range of products. The company also supports their customers by using quality ink to achieve quality results.
