After working in the garment industry (“Newtimes Jones” and “Levis”) for more than 10 years, our Managing Director, Mr. Ernie Poon, started his own
business in 1995 with only 2 staff, offering trims to garment factories in Pakistan & the Philippines.
Smartex started to work with U.S. buyers directly in 1997 (Antigua) on developments and constantly expanding our customer base in the U.S. since
then. Smartex is now appointed as nominated trims supplier by many prestigious buyers, including Gap & Aeropostale.
Smartex now employs about 80 staff – with head office in Hong Kong, Sourcing office in Dongguan, China and Sales office in New York, U.S.A
