In 2000 Chonfair with one of our client, delivery our unique, world's first, waterproof and breathable down bags! (Pat. pend.) By using new shell fabric that enables us to replace sewn seam with high-frequency welded seams. Gone are the thousand of needle holes that allowed water to reach the down and rendered the bag useless just it was needle most.

Why Down?
Your Jacket, sleeping bag is probably the most personal article in your outdoor equipment. It is important you select having exactly those properties you require.

Advantages of Down Fill:

• Down is still the material with the best heat retention in relation to weight. High quality down weighs approximately 20% less than the best quality synthetic fills.
• Down is also more easily compressed into smaller 'packages' than the synthetics. Still, not all down is alike.
• Top quality down with properly cared for can last 20 years or more, down will last three to four time longer than synthetic fills, and after 20 years, should require replacement of just 15% of the original fill.
• Down, a natural product, Down's natural structure contains thousand of tiny filaments that produce insulating pockets of air, as is its longevity and ease of care. is more environmentally sound than synthetic fills, which are petroleum based.
• Down offers a wide comfort zone, since it can absorb and release body moisture slowly. Comfort zone refers to the range of temperatures in which the user will be comfortable. Generally, down offers a range of up to 35 degrees F(20 degrees C), compared to just 20 degrees F(12 degrees C) for synthetic bags.

Fill Power index:

The fill power of a down measures the strength of the down or its resist compression and how well it can loft. The higher the Fill Power the better the down.

Down Content:

Down is graded according to the mix of pure down clusters and small feather. Which is quoted as being 80/20 indicates that comprises 80% down cluster and 20% small feather.

Construction Techniques:

The construction utilized in down sleeping bags or jacket is as important as the down filling itself.

	Stitch-Through: the simple and common construction in down products
	Straight wall baffles; Slant wall baffles: wall baffles from shell to ensure the most consistent thickness of insulation and eliminate cold spots.
	Truck Stitching: sewing the baffles to a "bite" of fabric on inside of the bag (jacket) hides the stitches, more durable than sewing them the normal way, it is protected from abrasion or sharp finger mails.

Care and storage
Feed (don't roll!) into the compression cover, and this will help you reduce your pack volume considerably.
For long periods of storage needs air, e.g. drape it over a hanger.
Furthermore, you will lengthen its useful life by not having to wash the sleeping bag so frequently.
