Global Green Synergy (GGS) is one of the leading solution providers for the treatment and processing of oil palm biomass to produce value-added biomass products. From its humble beginnings as a oil palm Dried Long Fiber (DLF) trading firm, GGS has ventured into development of oil palm biomass treatment and processing technologies to produce Dried Long Fiber, Palm Pellets, Compost, and Palm Kernel Shell.
As the oil palm biomass industry is booming, GGS has invested a great amount of effort and time into research and development projects with industry players, technology experts, research institutes and universities around the world to develop effective solutions for the oil palm biomass industry.
A few highlights from our portfolio:
GGS went into a joint-venture project with Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB) in 2009 and established the Palm Bio-Briquette R&D Plant. In this joint-venture, GGS has not only gained strong industry recognition but also garnered respect for having the initiatives and putting in efforts to further expand the potential of oil palm biomass industry.
GGS, in 2010, had the pleasure to invite the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd. Najib bin Abdul Razak to witness the signing of Memorandum of Understanding for the setting up of Palm Bio-Coke Pilot Project between Japanese & Malaysian companies. Nippon Steel Engineering Co. Ltd., Sumitomo Corporation, Global Green Synergy Sdn. Bhd. and Ngan & Ngan Holdings Sdn. Bhd. have teamed up to set up a pilot plant to utilize EFB as a raw material to produce biomass coke, a substitute of coal coke in the steel manufacturing industry. The Bio-Coke Project agreement has been signed on the 15th November 2011 in the MPOB International Palm Oil Conference (PIPOC 2011).
In promoting 'Technology and Business Synergy', GGS actively transfers proven and effective technologies to the palm oil industry players. The optimized Transfer of Technology (TOT) options GGS offers have been proven to contribute to environmental stewardship as well as financial growth.
