Established in 1991, Kaiping Kaiyu Garment Co., Ltd. is a medium size denims manufacturer with near 400 workers, which has long been exporting products through Hong Kong trading companies. Kaiyu Garment came to recognize Tradeeasy in September 2006 and expected to extend its direct customer network to overseas, as well as to expand the brand's popularity. Within the first three months of being a member of Tradeeasy, Kaiyu Garment, located at Kaiping town, Guangdong Province, has since been able to meet proactively with buyers like Holland House, Jibtex Ltd and SEVEN. Desirably, the product quality and follow-up efficiency of Kaiyu Garment satisfied the buyers a great deal. Particularly rewarding was when the renowned U.S. brand SEVEN decided to strike a deal with Kaiyu Garment in December 2006.
Joining Tradeeasy has enabled Kaiyu Garment to meet buyers face to face, which Mr. Jan, the general manager, finds very helpful as they could access better the edges and quality of their export-ready products. The procurement meeting was especially effective for it eliminated many misunderstandings emerged during trading through middleman, where efficiency benefited both the buyer and sellers.
With customers mainly from Europe, the U.S and Panama and a production capacity already of 150,000 dozens per year, the company is determined to further boost its exports by producing denims with even more enhanced quality and providing more fulfilling service. The outlook of 2007 surely seems prosperous for Kaiyu Garment.
